What are empirical and speculative theories
What would you like to do? What are empirical and speculative theories? This is also used very greatly in Philosophy EMPIRICAL- is the belief that the Physical world (the one you can touch) is the Real world. They also believe: The world is Imperfect and is DynamicThe world is Disorderly They base existence off the ability to use your 5 sensesThey are subjective in their viewpointsLife is full of uncertainty (as it is Dynamic and always changing)Some Empirical philosophers: Heraclitus, Aristotle and David Hume SPECULATIVE: is also referred to as Rationalism (and is how I will refer to it here).
Insurable Risks - CFP | Investopedia
Insurable Risks Risks are generally divided into two classes: Pure risks and Speculative risks. Pure Risks- these risks involve only the chance of loss, there is never an opportunity for gain or profit. Examples: injury from an accident, loss of home from an earthquake. Only Pure Risks are InsurableSpeculative Risks- These risks involve both the chance of gain or loss. Examples: Gambling at the race track, or investing in the real estate market. Speculative Risk is not InsurableElements of an Insurable RiskLoss must not be Catastrophic Loss must be Unexpected or Accidental Loss produced by the risk must be Definite and Measurable Must be a significantly large number of homogeneous exposure units to make the losses reasonable predictable Risks can also be evaluated on an economic scale comparing static and dynamic risks: Static Risks are the losses that are caused by factors other than a change in the economy (for example- hurricanes, earthquakes, other natural disasters) Dynamic Risks are the result of the economy changing (examples- inflation, recession, and other business cycle changes).

BIOLOGICAL SPECULATION Lyrics - FUNKADELIC | eLyrics.net
Funkadelic - Biological Speculation Biological Speculation LyricsWe're just a biological speculation Sittin' here, vibratin' And we don't know what we're vibratin' about And the animal instinct in me Makes me wanna defend me It makes me want to live when it's time to die Y'all, see my point I don't mean to come on strong but I am concerned I believe in God Though I know that law and order must prevail Oh, if and when the laws of man Is not just equal and fair Then the laws of nature will come and do her thing Oh, she does not think She just rectifies She comes and balances the book Y'all see my point? Y'all see my point? We're just a biological speculation Sittin' here, vibratin' And we don't know what we're vibratin' about And the animal instinct in me It makes me wanna defend me It makes me want to live when it's time to die Y'all see my point? (Y'all see my point?) Some of you, you might not be aware That some of us don't eat Some of you don't, you don't even care Oh, if and when the system Creates hunger and hate Then the laws of nature will come and do her thing Oh, yes, oh She does not think She works by instinct Survival is her thing Do y'all see my point? Scotland’s Incredible Garden of Cosmic Speculation
Photo: Flexdream A garden should present a puzzle to be fathomed, some things very clear and others veiled ~ Charles Jencks This incredible garden, known as The Garden of Cosmic Speculation, is not your everyday example of landscaping; instead it is based on mathematics and science mixed with nature and man-made lakes. Built in 1989, it has been called by some the most important garden in the 21st century. It is a private garden built by Charles Jencks and his late wife Maggie in Portrack House, Dumfries, Scotland. Photo: Flexdream Its design was influenced by Chinese garden philosophy.
Modals – deduction past
In the same way that we use modal verbs to say how certain we are about things in the present we can also use them to speculate about the past. Have + past participle ( ‘have done’, ‘have been’ have stolen’etc. ) is called the perfect infinitive. When we use modal verbs to talk about the present they are followed by an infinitive without ‘to’. When we use modal verbs to talk about the past they are followed by a perfect infinitive. must + perfect infinitive We use must + perfect infinitive when we feel sure about something in the past. You must have been delighted when you heard you’d won the lottery.

Posted 05 August 2010 - 06:32 AM Guys. . . NCSoftassumedit to have public beta around 2010 and theyassumedit to be out Q1 (or maybe they said early. . . ) 2011, anet have never said anything else, except ofc "when it's done/ready/finished"edit: Just listened to the conference call again, he said "sometime in 2011"and I looked at the chart again, it just say 2011 as well, no "Q's". Remember, this is NCSoft (not anet), they need to say something, or else the people that give NCSoft their money will abandon them, because they don't want to lose their money (stock holders? meh, I have no idea what it's called, do not really care either )NC makes Aion which is making millions in Korea, I doubt the "Stockers" will be moving their money anywhere soon.
The Garden of Cosmic Speculation - open for just five hours a year!
The Universe Cascade at the Garden of Cosmic Speculation, which spews down the hill below the house The Garden of Cosmic Speculation in the Borders area of southwest Scotland, has become something of a mystical destination since it only opens to the public for five hours each year. I was lucky enough to get there for the 2012 open day and despite crowds which cause a Chelsea football match to pale into insignificance, I'm glad I made it for a glimpse of this extraordinary garden created by landscape architect, Charles Jencks and his late wife, Maggie Keswick.
